The 'Unfold' Musician Retreat provides a private escape for musicians involved in the Versailles Baroque Festival. Situated amid the expansive Versailles Chateau gardens, the retreat center retains an aspect of intimacy through folding planes and overlapping spaces, while simultaneously providing views of the neighboring Piece d’Eau des Suisses for the more public spaces.

The program includes seven guest suites along with various amenities for both the musicians, as well as spaces for public receptions and performances. Two interacting yet disconnected sections of the complex distinguish between the musician quarters and the more public reception spaces.
